Young (and Hot) Guns

Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Emilio Estevez

So Young Guns and Young Guns II was on TV yesterday. I watched pretty much all of Young Guns and a little of Young Guns II, and although I’ve always known the men in the film belonged to my “celebrity boyfriend” list, it still amazes me how they got so many wonderfully good-looking people in the film(s).

So, Young Guns. Official celebrity crushes would be Emilio Estevez and Kiefer Sutherland. But let’s not forget Lou Diamond Phillips, Dermot Mulroney, and Charlie Sheen. Lou Diamond Phillips’ hair in the film is just marvelous. He’s gorgeous. Dermot Mulroney? Not so much, but of course he is in real life, so that’s forgiven. And Charlie Sheen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don’t need so say much for him.

Onto Young Guns II. Although we’ve lost a few young guns, we’ve gained CHRISTIAN SLATER and BALTHAZER GETTY. (Yeah, okay, and ALAN RUCK.) Yeah, there were others, but not important enough to mention in my blog. Christian Slater is one of the few men to be on my “Most Beautiful Men in the World” list, so of course it was most excellent for him to be in this movie. I had a short infatuation with Balthazar Getty my sophomore year in high school thanks to “Lord of the Flies,” and of course Alan Ruck is the best character (pretty hot, too) in Ferris Bueller.

Ridiculously good-looking men in a ridiculously awesome cowboy movie. What more could a teenybopper ask for? But in all seriousness, there’s something extremely attractive about young men defending what they believe in, rebelling against authority, and sticking together. That’s what makes these movies so awesome.
