As I Wait, I Write
May 3, 2007
So…thanks to my friend John, he inspired me to dye my hair. I’ve been meaning to do something with it, considering my hair is like three different colors thanks to three different dye jobs. I went to the store today and bought the color closest to my natural hair color as possible, because I’m really hoping to dye my hair all ONE color instead of, well, you know, multiple colors. And I think that was about the longest sentence I’ve typed in a really long time.
So. Since I have more hair than the entire state of Texas, it’s really hard to get the dye everywhere in my hair, especially when you are trying not to get any on your clothes, neck, face, hands, and ears. The towel and sweater I wore to catch all the dripping hair dye looks like I dragged them through mud. Awesome! And I still managed to get some on the back of my neck, my face, my fingers, the toilet seat, and the counter. I really miss the days of getting my hair done professionally, but since my financial aid went down I’ve been saving up instead. So now I sit here…waiting…to rinse it out.
Today I went to go see a student advisor to see how many classes I need left after this quarter to graduate. 3.5 classes. Which sucks. Because I thought I only had three left, and considering the only classes that are less than four units are like, PE classes, looks like I’ll be taking four online classes over the summer quarter instead of three. So I pretty much need to find a really easy class. I can stop taking upper division courses now because I’ve reached the maximum number required to graduate, so maybe I can finally take the web design course I’ve wanted to take. Freaking. Awesome. Man.
I haven’t received the rest of my pictures yet, but maybe they are in the mail right this second. Too bad I don’t have the key to check it.
Alright…I love writing because it takes my mind off the fact that my hair is covered in dye right now. The box said to wait 25 minutes, and I have FIVE minutes left. They will be the longest five minutes of the day…I’m really nervous that this dye job will be fudged up and I’ll look like…oh…I don’t know…like this.
I hope that made you laugh.
